Our president & CEO, Donovan Everett, joined a Table of Experts dinner hosted by First Horizon Bank and presented by the Charlotte Business Journal (CBJ) to discuss the impact of tariffs. Joining the conversation were Scott Lampe, president, Hendrick Technical Solutions, Charlie Malouf, CEO of Broad River Retail / Ashley Furniture, Andrés Alvarado, sr. vice president of operations, Marand Builders, Inc., and Eric Teal, Chief Investment Officer, First Horizon Bank. The discussion was moderated by Rob Tallman, director of advertising for the CBJ.
From the general contractor’s seat, Donovan shared how we protect clients from price volatility: staying close to suppliers, building in contingencies, and bringing design and construction partners together early so budgets hold up. His outlook on the region is optimistic. “Charlotte is still the desired place to be,” and our 2027 pipeline is stronger than 2026.
